Although we're not sure how true to life the screenplay will be, there's a good chance that a Jack Warner-esque character will appear at one point or another. Not only is Warner the former head of CONCACAF and a fellow FIFA Executive Committee member, but he was once a close friend of Blazer. We nominate Don Cheadle. 

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch helped bring Blazer to justice and is an important character in Bensinger's book proposal. Alfre Woodard, who recently played the President in the shortlived NBC series State of Affairs, is our first choice for Ms. Lynch.

The reports state that in addition to Loretta Lynch, an IRS pencil pusher is one of the main federal agents involved in the government's take down of Blazer. Having risen to fame in recent years with his breakout role as a bumbling government office worker in Parks & Rec and fresh off of the success of Jurassic World, Chris Pratt would make an excellent underdog-turned-hero.

As FIFA's president for the past 17 years, Sepp Blatter is one of the most powerful and notorious figureheads in international sports. We'd like to see Michael Douglas take on the role and bring a little Gordon Gekko to the soccer world.

With his beard and chutzpah, Mandy Patinkin is our pick to play the lead role of Chuck Blazer. Patinkin can keep the audience's interest and, with his emotional range, convincingly transition from a likeable lead to a villain.

A former soap actress from the '70s and '80s, Mary Lynn Blanks was Blazer's purported girlfriend throughout his period of lavish excess. Edie Falco, already famous for complex roles such as Carmela Soprano and Nurse Jackie, is perfect for the job.
