Jared Abbott of @Assploitation Keeps the Afters Location a Secret
This is SOUND ADVICE, a weekly destination for playlists curated by Interview’s friends, enemies, and lovers. Over the past few weeks, we’ve gathered playlists created by Stolen Nova, Rick Owens, and Alice Longyu Gao. This week, we have a sensual treat from Jared Abbott of Assploitation, anti-techno DJ and curator of horny history. His Instagram is a feast for the vintage soft-core buff, replete with striptease videos and porn intros of yesteryear set to sexy disco and other “grown folks’ music.” You’ve already heard his mix for Club Mel, but this time the Berliner brings us a playlist he describes as “broken hearts, open booty” and answers our questionnaire, in which he lets us know about his secret Schöneberg afters and determines who has the best ass in the music industry.
