What have you been listening to lately?

What’s your style philosophy?
I’m a minimalist at heart. Currently the thesis is futuristic dilapidated glamour, clothes that reveal the skin because they’re falling apart. I basically only wear black: awkward lengths and fits, asymmetry.

What are you embarrassed by?
My intense love for everyone and everything around me. I’m trying to practice nonattachment.
What’s the weirdest thing in your closet?
A single Victorian child’s shoe.
What do you wear to bed?
I sleep naked and I don’t understand people who wear clothes to bed (respectfully).

What do you eat when you’re hungover?
I literally hate drinking, but on the occasion that I do, coctel de camarón + aguachile + Diet Coke.
How’s your relationship with your parents?
They were just kids when I showed up (18 and 20), and somehow that made them wiser. We grew up in tandem and they’re my best friends.
What do you cook?
Trad Mexican food. My abuelita taught me everything I know. Caldos, tacos, salsas, rice, beans, various egg dishes. Every once in a while I like to throw down and make something crazy time-consuming like chile rellenos or tamales.

What’s the last thing you regret buying?
A jumbo sea sponge exfoliator. I was stoned and it started looking way too much like a living organism for me to scrub my body with it.
Do you want kids?
Absolutely.
Are you afraid to die?
No. I fucking love my life, though. Unfortunately, I’ve seen quite a bit of death. I was even a death doula for some time. The concepts of death, time, and inevitability have been lifelong obsessions for me.

Do you play any instruments?
I produce most of my own music, so it comes with the territory. I’m into collecting vintage hardware like drum machines, synthesizers, weird samplers, pedals, and tape recorders.
Who is your best friend?
God.
Do you believe in monogamy?
Yes, it’s possible, but what’s there to believe in? I believe in different strokes for different folks.

Philosophy. I’m finishing my undergrad in it. On my own time: theosophy, magick, history, and fashion.
