Channel Tres Declares Aretha Franklin His Queen of Pop
This is SOUND ADVICE, a weekly destination for playlists curated by Interview’s friends, enemies, and lovers. This week’s installment comes from the jack-of-all-trades musician Channel Tres, on the heels of the release of his new EP Real Cultural Shit. In between appearances at the M3F and CRSSD festivals in Phoenix and San Diego, respectively, the rapper-producer made time to share an eclectic playlist with us, sprinkled with a bit of electronic, gospel, and R&B. Then, he took our music questionnaire, revealing his personal queen of pop, the perfect music to set the vibes in the bedroom, and his first ever concert.
