Capture: Citizens, Arresting

The Citizens Band performed in truly theatrical style at the Highline Ballroom on Saturday. The band is more than just a cheeky historical-technological reference (“citizens’ band” is the phrase from which “CB radio” originated): it’s a cabaret troupe starring Interview pal Karen Elson, among others. Rain Phoenix performed as part of the band last night, as well, and plenty of influential friends turned out to see the show, including Lissy Trullie, Michael Stipe, and Grace Coddington (who sat with Bruce Weber).
