Stacey Bendet Brightens Your Day

Last night, Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet (pictured at left) launched her latest project, a collaboration with MAC Cosmetics, at New York’s Beauty Bar. Bendet told me she was “psyched” about the project, which includes Nail Laquers, Dazzleglass Creme, and Pigments. Her goal? To make the colors “truly Alice + Olivia–fun, happy, and a little out there.” That aim is certainly reflected in her newly invented colors and their respective names, which include So Rich So Pretty (a bright purple), If It’s Pink (hot pink, obviously), and Later (black with transforming pearl). As you may have guessed, the line is not for the faint of heart, but don’t let yourself get scared away. “They are bright,” Bendet admitted. “But surprisingly wearable.”
