Head Space: Rick Owens

Was it a means of protecting the face from the streams of smoke on the runway? Was it a little leftover fabric from the long wife-beater tops and other sleeveless options? No, no, no, These were doo-rags, almost plain and simple. Rick Owens gave them the goth-athletic treatment this morning in Paris. The original inspiration, we believe, were the headwraps worn by nuns. But instead of heading for the pews, we were thinking about the party. These light-as-air stocking pieces would be great for nightclub, especially if you’re looking to go incognito (or just to hide the effect the humidity  has had on your hair).  PHOTO: ERIK MELVIN
