Moncler and Craig Green Bring it Back Down to Earth

The Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler has teamed up with the London-born designer Craig Green to offer us all a sense of much-needed reprieve. Their new collaboration—the Moncler Genius Spring/Summer 2021 collection—is an ode to the great outdoors. The natural world takes center stage as models are shown frolicking in the open fields and on a melancholic beach. Their earth-toned and eclectic outerwear could resemble a platypus, a frog, or a flying kite—who’s to say? The intentional ambiguity makes the collection so exciting; everything is up to interpretation. The monograms do, though, represent the symmetry found in nature and a nod to the harmony that’s found in our environment. In an age where most of us are still WFH, there’s nothing like fashion to connect us with the earth. Now that’s a breath of fresh air.
