First Dibs: J.W. Anderson Resort 2014 Look 5

J.W. Anderson experimented with new proportions, shapes, suspensions, and everything in between for his Resort 2014 collection. For some, being experimental can mean doing away with pragmatics, but Anderson felt strongly about keeping this collection wearable and relatable. With this piece, Anderson appears to have attacked the traditional LBD with a sharp pair of scissors, resulting in a structural yet organic look. The linear top half of the dress counteracts the draped bottom, which adds some length to the dress and reminds us of a strategically shredded tuxedo.
