Balenciaga’s Boudoir
There were no colors to speak of for Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer ’16 collection. Each look appeared in the same ivory hue, which, combined with a prevalent bustier silhouette, gave the entire collection the sensation that it was better suited to the boudoir than the salons of Paris, where the show was held. Among the standouts of the collection was a lace dress with strategically clustered flowers, a sort of modern interpretation of Adam and Eve iconography.
