Edward Albee

50 years ago last weekend, Edward Albee erected the timelessly tragic characters George and Martha in the Broadway premiere of his world-renowned play Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, propelling him toward a career of artfully relaying the human condition on stage.
