It’s no secret that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have lots of friends and followers, but in presenting their Fall 2011 collection, the Italian designers opened up their social swirl in an entirely new way, using the Internet and social media to create an interconnected, interactive, instantaneous global fashion extravaganza. So we decided to undertake a little social-media exercise of our own, enlisting Naomi Campbell, Scarlett Johansson, Monica Bellucci, Kylie Minogue, and a host of others for a very special experiment in talking fashion in the age of Twitter
