Southern California-bred duo Best Coast and New York-based trio Sunflower Bean are rock bands with devout followings. While they hail from opposite coasts, and their music spans the rock spectrum—Best Coast embraces surf inspired sounds and Sunflower Bean leans toward the psychedelic—they each boast badass frontwomen: Bethany Cosentino and Julia Cumming, respectively.
