If you are renowned cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt, it’s seeing the potential in every face you encounter. “I am a visual person,” he says. “I catch myself looking at people—either in everyday life or in the movies—and thinking about what I could do to improve them.” Known for pioneering the use of facial injections like Restylane, Dysport, and Botox—as opposed to actual surgery—to stave off the hands of time, Brandt has a clientele that extends far beyond rich doyennes and Hollywood starlets. In fact, his most rapidly expanding client base happens to be men. “You want to make sure that you aren’t going to feminize them,” he explains. “You want to create more filling in the lateral face—in the cheekbones and in the temples—to give them more of a squared jaw and a chiseled look. It’s always important to have the strong jawline.” In addition to his thriving practices in both New York and Miami, Dr. Brandt also has his own burgeoning skin-care line. “There’s so much in the pipeline,” he says. “A lot of people don’t really know what’s gonna make them look better,” he says. “I always say that the patients who are willing to let me do what I want are going to look the best.”
